Better Baby Sitters

One of our flagship courses, Better Baby Sitters prepares tweens with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to become safe, responsible, and successful babysitters. Through engaging, hands-on activities, students learn childcare basics, safety & first aid, and how to respond to common emergencies. They’ll also explore the responsibilities and rights of a babysitter and tips for marketing their babysitting services. By the end of class, students will feel ready to take on babysitting jobs with confidence while giving parents greater peace of mind.

• Featuring guest speakers from the local Police and Fire Departments (when available).

• All students will receive their own first aid kit to take home.

• This class is appropriate for students ages 10-13.

Students will learn:

• First Aid & Safety

• Infant & Child CPR with mannequin instruction

• Care of the choking child and infant

• How to handle emergencies

• Creative problem solving

• Job professionalism and how to design a marketing flyer

• Hands on practice with diapering, bottle feeding and infant care
