FIBER ARTS FOR KIDZ

Felting art is the perfect blend of creativity and craftsmanship and is a wonderful activity for kids.

In this hands-on fiber arts class, kids explore three creative techniques—wet felting, needle felting, and kinusaiga—while building confidence, patience, and fine motor skills. Each project introduces a new way to work with fibers and textures, giving students a chance to experiment, problem-solve, and express themselves through art.

What We’ll Make

  • Wet-Felted Trinket Pouch — Students use warm water, soap, and layers of wool to create a soft, sturdy pouch. They’ll learn how fibers bond together and how shaping and pressure transform loose wool into a finished object.

  • Needle-Felted Mini Animal — Using special barbed needles, kids sculpt wool into a small creature of their choice. This project teaches careful hand-eye coordination and the basics of 3D fiber sculpture.
