Pottery Wheel 101

Pottery Wheel 101 is a hands-on introduction to the exciting world of ceramics, where students learn both pottery wheel and hand-building techniques. Students will create their own pottery pieces which will be glazed and fired. Students' creativity, patience, and confidence grow as they transform clay into finished works of art.

Students will learn:

• wedging

• centering

• pulling

• slab-building

• coil-building

• pinching

• glaze decoration

• understanding of firing techniques

All supplies, glazing, and kiln firing are included, and each student will take home their completed ceramic creations.
